Mark Vilela

Registered Massage Therapist, Fascial Stretch Therapist, FRCms

Mark has been a professional personal trainer since 2017 and a Certified Fascial Stretch Therapist since 2019. He treats every one of his clients as unique individuals and tailor treatment plans according to their specific goals and lifestyle. He accomplishes this by learning how people move as they go about completing tasks in their daily life and their sport. Mark's passion is to help people live healthier, regain function and move pain-free.

Throughout his professional career, he has had the privilege of working with various individuals, athletes and groups, privately and at various events. Mark was the fascial stretch therapist for the 2019 CCYAA Celebrity Classic Basketball game at the popular outdoor festival in Markham, Night It Up! He was also the preferred fascial stretch therapist for Team Inferno at the North America Police Soccer Tournament (NAPST), which was organized by Peel Regional Police and hosted in Mississauga in 2019. Mark was the preferred fascial stretch therapist for Team Shade at the 2020 Provincial Dodgeball Championships. At the McKesson Canada Annual Wellness Fair in January 2020, Mark provided assessments and tips on movement enhancement. Most recently, Mark has been working with players from the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL).

Sharon Cheng


Sharon is a Resident Physiotherapist and is registered with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario. She is a graduate from the University of Toronto Master of Science in Physical Therapy program. Previously she completed her Bachelor of Arts with an Honors Specialization in Kinesiology.


Sharon has a passion for manual therapy and is interested in pursuing the remaining levels. She is an avid believer in helping her clients understand the underlying reasons behind their pain and working together to formulate a treatment plan that is tailored to their needs. She has a strong interest in pelvic health and in helping bring awareness to conditions relating to pelvic floor dysfunctions.  Sharon is also a Medical Assistant in the Canadian Armed Forces as an Army Reservist. She has served for many years and has completed her Primary Leadership Qualification (PLQ) where she gained instructional techniques and new skills that she is excited to bring forward to her PT Resident career. Sharon is also a St. John’s Standard First Aid Instructor, and she teaches her military colleagues CPR and AED courses.


In her free time, Sharon enjoys Pilates and group fitness exercises to stay active!

Kelvin Ip

Movement Specialist, FRCms

Since 2017, Kelvin has been a Certified Personal Trainer working with many different people with many different goals, ages, starting points, experiences, and injuries. His main focus is getting clients the ability to perform their day-to-day functions easier or try new experiences that they may have never thought possible before. This is done by making manageable lifestyle changes, improving movement patterns, expanding range of motion, and developing strength in a variety of positions with a carefully customized training plan.


The philosophy behind Kelvin's training is quite simple - master the basics before moving to more complex things. It will be challenging but also fun and exciting! This requires a certain level of commitment from clients to trust the process and put in the work even outside of the training session. Clients who subscribe to this have seen improvements in body composition and performance, decrease in pain, more energy, and less stress.

Samantha Russell

"The Intern" / Assistant Coach / Guest Experience Coordinator

Samantha started her fitness journey in 2016 to improve her overall fitness and crush some barbell goals at the gym. She has been an athletic individual since a young age so she was naturally drawn to training and sports.

She is currently enrolled in York's Kinesiology program and completed a Fitness and Health Promotion diploma. Samantha's passion is to help others start and continue improving themselves physically and mentally through fitness.
