Joshua Chan

Registered Massage Therapist, FRCms

Joshua is a Sutherland-Chan graduate who is registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario. He believes in an active approach to rehab and preventative care. Joshua uses a combination of neuromuscular techniques and myofascial release.

Joshua loves moving and it is evident from the roster of sports he has participated in despite how young his athletic age is. Since getting his kickstart in 2013 with dragon boat in Hong Kong, he has explored other sports and modalities such as swimming, crossfit, field hockey, running, cycling, triathlon and currently finds himself chasing down the rabbithole of ultrarunning. He has also had the privilege of coaching dragon boat and land training for the team.

This zeal for movement naturally lends itself to an inherent curiosity of how the body moves and adapts around injuries and restrictions that allow the body to continue to perform. As an extension of this curiosity he decided down the path of becoming a massage therapist so that he can expand his exploration beyond fixing himself so that he can educate and empower people to gain control of their own health and wellness - to adapt and overcome obstacles in their life whether in athletic pursuits or in the daily rigours of life.
